OUR CHURCH IN WORSHIP
This morning Pastor Ken leads worship which will include commissioning
Doug and Joy Lutke. They leave this week for Washington to begin, on June
30, CRWRC's Sea to Sea Bike Tour across the continental United States.
In appreciation for our church's encouragement to them, they've provided
cake for coffee time following this morning's service.
This evening Pastor Adam will lead worship. We thank Renee Potgeter for
providing ministry of music.
Next Sunday Pastor Adam will lead both services. The morning message will
be on the Book of Joel; you're encouraged to read it prior to the service.

Offering Note for tonight: Mississippi Christian Family Services was initially
sponsored by the CRWRC in 1975. Elvinah Spoelstra was appointed as its
first director. Susie Evans, the first African-American hired by the CRWRC,
is the current director. The primary purpose of MCFS is providing services
in the Mississippi Delta area, serving individuals and families who have
special needs because of mental, physical, and/or environmental limitations.
Chuck and Carol Mackus have volunteered at MCFS two weeks each year for
the past six years.

OUR CHURCH IN PASTORAL CARE
Congratulations to Grant and Cherie Zondervan on the birth of their daughter,
Lilianna Jean, born Wednesday, June 18.
Christian sympathy is extended to Teunis and Phylllis Witte's family in
the passing away of Teunis' dad, John Witte of Grand Rapids, last week.
Christian sympathy is also extended to Bernie Hendriksen in the passing
away of his son, William Jr. Hendriksen of Grand Rapids, on Tuesday.
DJ Post underwent surgery on Thursday to have a heart valve replaced.
He is at the Lena Meijer Heart Center of Spectrum Butterworth Hospital.
Megan Yost was in the hospital for a few days last week for tests to find
the cause of balance issues she has been having. Adrianna Morren is at
Spectrum Butterworth Hospital; she is having difficulty with her upper
arm/shoulder.
Pastor Tom and Sheri leave Wednesday for Israel. Pray for safety while
they travel and learn during the two weeks they will be away.
Congratulations to Menno and Alice Feenstra. Menno celebrated his 87th
birthday last Monday; they celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary Friday.
Birthday congratulations during the month of July go to Greta Lindemulder,
celebrating her 89th birthday on July1; she and Harm live in their apartment
in Bayberry Farms -Helen Kamps, celebrating her 98th birthday on July
5; she resides at Brookcrest Nursing Home -Millie Harkema, celebrating
her 92nd birthday on July 14; she is thankful to be able to live in her
own home. You may bring your cards of well wishes and encouragement to
these loved ones to church and place them in their mailbox. Basket Ministry
will deliver them.
Thank you to our church family for the many cards and prayers during my
recent surgery. A special thank you is expressed to Pastor Ken for his

OUR CHURCH IN ADULT MINISTRY
Everyone is welcome to join us at 8:45 AM each Sunday morning in upstairs
classroom #208 for an informal time of reflection and prayer for our church.
YOUNG ADULTS IN THE BOOK STUDY - We will begin our book discussion-Celebration
of Discipline-TODAY after the morning service. Come to the Council Room
by the kitchen.
CHURCH PICNIC RSVP's were put in your mailbox last week. This annual
picnic will be Wednesday, July 16, at Douglas Walker Park. Enjoy a summer
evening of fellowship with your church, delicious food catered by "our
own Matt" of Family Restaurant, homemade desserts, and games for
young and old alike. You'll only need to bring table settings for your
family. (If you are visiting with us and would like to attend the picnic,
additional copies of the RSVP form are on the table in the foyer.) Questions?

The children who attended VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL a few weeks ago collected
104,701 pennies ($1047.01) in one week. This money was sent to The bible
league to purchase children's Bibles for kids in the Philippines.
SHIFTING GEARS - MAPS & MEDITATIONS FOR THE SEA TO SEA 2008 BIKE TOUR
is a 9-week devotional has been made available for purchase by the steering
committee of the Sea to Sea Bike Tour. This devotional will permit you
to follow the bikers across the country and through God's Word. Signups
and a sample booklet are at the Sea to Sea display found at the entrance
to the Fellowship Hall. Cost is $6.00 with $4.00 of the purchase going
to the funding of the mission trip. Sign up today (at the display) so
that you can have your booklet for the start of the trip.
COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENTS
Tuesday, June 24 - Our Place, a free adult Christian respite center, will
be open from 9 AM to 1 PM in the foyer of First Cutlerville Christian
Reformed Church. If you are the caregiver of an elderly or disabled adult
or child, "Our Place" is here for you! Future dates are July

July 24 - Byron Center Fine Arts Foundations kicks off the Byron Days
Festival weekend with a Benefit Concert featuring the inspirational Gospel
group, The Kingsmen, along with the popular West Michigan quartet, The
Heralders at 7:00 PM at the VanSingel Fine Arts Center. General Admission
tickets are $12.50 per person and are available at the VanSingel box office
(878-6800) or on line at www.vsfac.com.
Shin Hyuk Park from South Korea, who will be 9th grade next year, would
like to attend South Christian High School 2008-09. (Shin Hyuk is a brother
of Sandy Park, international student with the Witte's for the last few
years). He previously studied for 2 years in the United States and would
like to continue his studies in the U.S. If you have questions or are
interested in being a host family, please call Mr. Guichlaar of South

CRWRC Disaster Response Services has volunteers on site in Parkersburg,
Iowa, doing clean-up and helping to organize the recovery effort after
the recent tornado. Volunteers are also poised to help in eastern Iowa
with the flood clean-up. Volunteers in Columbus, Indiana, are assessing
damage and planning for a DRS response. To make a donation to this relief

POSITION OPENING: The Christian Reformed Church in North America (CRCNA)
